No watering in a storm. No ice on the driveway.
Rain sensors and freeze sensors that pause your sprinklers automatically, wired to your controller and tested.
- Sensors: Rain, freeze or combined
- Mounting: Open sky, away from drip
- Wiring: To the controller sensor terminals

What it is, and why it matters.
A rain sensor sits where it can catch rain, and when enough falls it tells the controller to skip watering until it dries. A freeze sensor does the same for cold weather, preventing ice on walks and drives. Many local codes and water utilities encourage or require rain shutoff devices, so we confirm the rules for your city and install one that qualifies.
We mount the sensor in the open, away from gutters and tree drip, wire it to the controller and test it. Many smart controllers also use weather data, and a sensor adds a local backup that works even when the internet does not.
Four things done right.

Rain & Freeze Sensors: common questions
Do I need a rain sensor?
It is one of the simplest ways to avoid watering in the rain, and many local rules encourage or require one. We confirm what applies where you live.
Will a rain sensor stop all watering?
It pauses scheduled watering when enough rain has fallen and resumes when it dries. You can still run a zone manually.
